Wide frequency range
IFrequency ranges from 50 GHz to 75 GHz, 60 GHz to 90 GHz, 75 GHz to 110 GHz, 90GHz to 140 GHz and 110 GHz to 170 GHz；Two models (e.g.R&S®SZM75 and R&S®SZM110) cover the wide frequency range from50 GHz to 110 GHz.
Versatile option concept
The frequency multiplier family R&S®SZM can be equipped with high power options oroptional mechanically or electronically controlled attenuators. Depending on which baseunit is selected, high output power, an attenuator or an isolator can be installed asoptions. To simplify handling, all three options are integrated in the same housing as thefrequency multiplier. The optional Faraday isolator suppresses reflections and leads to adefined matching at the waveguide output. Finally, an optional test port adapter (TPA) canalso be connected, which mechanically protects the R&S®SZM output.
Wide dynamic range
The R&S®SZM can be conveniently controlled via USB with the R&S®SMA100B microwavesignal generator. To enable control of the R&S®SZM via USB, the R&S®SMAB-K554 optionmust be installed on the R&S®SMA100B signal generator. This combination operates as asingle unit allowing users to directly enter the wanted frequency and with a mechanicallyor electronically controlled attenuator also the target level at the R&S®SZM output on theR&S®SMA100B.

Automatic detection and convenient control of the R&S®SZM by means of theR&S®SMA100B microwave signal generator via USB when the R&S®MAB-K554 optionis installed on the R&S®SMA100B.Easy setups with the one-box solution consisting of the R&S'SMA100B, the R&S®SZMplus an optional mechanically or electronically controlled attenuator;Frequency setting on the R&S®SMA100B, taking the connected R&S®SZM intoconsideration;Level setting on the R&S®SMA100B, taking the connected R&S®SZM into consideration(only for built-in attenuator);Automatic frequency response correction of the precalibrated R&S®SZM includingattenuator by means of the R&S®SMA100B;For frequency-, phase- and pulse-modulated signals;Optional TPA (test port adapter) is a straight waveguide and simplifies connecting theDUT; it protects internal assemblies and their flange and can be easily replaced ifdamaged;Optional Faraday isolator suppresses reflections and leads to a defined matching at thewaveguide output.
High signal quality
Very low single sideband phase noise when the R&S®SMA100B high-end microwavesignal generator is used as a source;High output level accuracy when the mechanically or electronically controlledattenuator option is installed;Excellent matching when the isolator;option is installed.
